Gadget & Tech Tuesday Xmas Wishlist Part 1

My Christmas Wish List

Oh yes. Christmas is just around the corner. And to start off my Gadget & Tech Tuesday entry, I begin with the first part of my wish list for this wallet-busting, pocket-burning christmas season...

Creative Zen Vision 30 GB

Who needs the over-hyped iPod 5G with video? If you want to watch full-length movies, this baby supports major video codecs as compared to the limited codec supported by the iPod.

From the Creative website:

Product Description

A digital canvas for what's important - your life and the memories it holds. Zen Vision lets you take all your movies, music and photos in a light, pocket-sized player wherever you need to be.

Available in a sleek and spacious 30GB model, moments you cherish are now made for sharing. That's tens of thousands of photos, 120 hours of movies, or even 15,000 songs (possibly) playing in your head. Tune in to the radio, record your favorite talk show, or make personal voice memos. Take a closer look at the Zen Vision. And see how it lets you live your life your way.

You'd probably ask why I chose the W550i over the w800i when the latter has bigger (expandable via sony memory stick) memory capacity than the former. My simple answer is... who can resist that "Saturday Night Live" inspired TV ad of the w550i? Hehehehe

Besides, I'm still enjoying my 5gb Black Creative Zen Micro so I do not actually need a bigger capacity MP3 player/fone. I'm just mesmerized by that switch-blade/swiveling design and orangey color scheme. Hmmm... orangey...

As for the Creative Zen Vision, it kicks the iPod 5g's butt with its capacity to play major video codecs, the gorgeous 3.7" screen, the built-in Compact Flash Slot, FM Radio, access to subscription music such as Yahoo Unlimited and Napster (US only) and its magnesium-alloy, pocket-friendly build. Now who needs to pay for and watch past TV episodes of Lost and Desperate Housewives when you can watch full-length Sean Cody and Falcon movies with this baby?

Now if only someone can introduce me to a potential azucarera-de-papa...
