More confusion, and scheming, and plotting… I mean planning, over Dinner. Fake smiles here, thumbs up there…Oy vey… so tiring!

I’m sure this political drama is not yet over.

Why we allow these maniacs to run our country is beyond me.

I sincerely wish there’s a dimensional portal somewhere leading to a faraway land (Encantadia perhaps?) without politics, far away from these crazies we call politicians.

In other news, VP Noli De Castro is still quiet over the alleged issue of MGB being scrapped by ABS-CBN because of his support for GMA.

In my honest opinion, the show should have left ages ago, while their ratings were still up. Magandang Gabi Bayan is a shadow of its former self without Kabayan.

Besides, they’re losing in the ratings game anyway.

Calm In the Big Apple

No. I didn’t go to New York.  I just happened to be “blog hopped” by a Pinay who lives in the Big Apple.  I’m finally making it big!

Asa pa.  :-)

Missed List, My Version

My friend
Bong posted a nice entry on the things he missed and misses. I made my own list while trying my best not to waste my whole day posting another long entry.

So this will be short, no further explanations.

The “things” I missed last 2005:

  1. Regine Velasquez’s “Reflections” Concert Series at the Aliw

  2. Batman Returns, King Kong, StarWars 3, Cinemalaya Entries, other Cinemanila Entries (got to watch only one).

  3. Christmas party with my PLM classmates.

  4. Summer outing with my friends or family.

  5. Sinulog. Went to Cebu a week after the event. No chance to visit this year.

  6. The opportunity to save more.

Now what I miss…

  1. My inisa-isa friends. Nakakamiss rin pala ang mga gaga.

  2. Co-facilitating team-building seminars lead by Bong.

  3. Our old house in Tondo.

  4. My father.

  5. Being the boss.

  6. My better half. *kilig* (Yes everyday I miss him)

Blogger Addict

Yes. I admit. I've been bitten by the blog bug and now I'm addicted.

The symptoms:

  1. When I get to the office, I check my blog first. Then my email.
  2. When I'm on my way to and from work, I look around and observe, trying to make a blog entry of something.
  3. Fifty percent of my time in the office is spent reading other blogs (bong if you're reading this don't tell my boss ok? please!!!), tinkering with my blog and JCDs (I made his banner, so proud of my photoshop skills. teehee), finding ways for my blog traffic to increase, commenting on other blogs, reading news to put on my blog. etc.
  4. I promised that today I won't put any entry nor tinker with my blog, but here I am.
  5. I'm seriously experiencing withdrawal symptoms when I don't see my blogs on weekends.
  6. I'm starting to regret my transfer to Cavite 'coz I don't have an internet connection thus I can't blog.
This is serious. I need help!!!

How bout you? Any blogger addiction stories to share?

Death by Faith

It is sad that people have to
die for their faith and devotion. I will not dare question why such things happen.

Happy Fiesta!!!

Happy Fiesta to all our Catholic brothers and sisters in Quiapo! The Feast of the Black Nazarene is considered to be one of the major Catholic fiestas in the country.

Incidentally our district in Cavite, where our subdivision is located, is also celebrating the Feast of the Nazareno. So happy fiesta to them as well.

Hope they can still celebrate it considering it falls on a Monday and after all that Christmas and New Year’s Day spending.

Exodus. What a waste of money. Is it me or the movie is just lame? I know, I know I am no film critic and thus I have no right to lambast este criticize movies, but for crying out loud! I wasted 2 hours and 105 pesos for this?

Okay, composure. It is, first and foremost, a commercial film that is part of a very commercial film festival. So why should I expect more from this movie lead by non other than a senator of this 3rd world crap of a country?

Nothing. I should have expected nothing. But GMA 7 has done a better job with their tele-fantasyas. This movie is supposed to be big budgetted, but they still managed to come up with crap. Fantasy crap.

I tried googling for images to accompany this post but apparently there is none. Buti pa ang google walang pakelam kay Exodus. Hindi nasasayang ang oras nila.

Please Senator Revilla, just concentrate on doing legislative work. Even in the senate you are doing a sh***y job so please spare us and allow us to spend our 100 pesos for a more worthy movie.

Oh and Direk Erik Matti, what happened to you?

Sayang ang pera talaga.

Addendum: Surprise surprise!!! Or not. The movie has an official website and from there I got the image I posted from their wallpaper downloads page. Pretty decent site, methinks. Can't say the same 'bout the movie though.

Sharon In A Coma

Oh no! The Megastar? Why? How? When? Paano na si Senador Kiko?

Stupid me and my barriotic knowledge of international events, turns out that it’s actually Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon who’s in a coma. Maybe I should start doing my work so that my brain cells would actually comprehend news headlines as news and not merely showbiz chika.

In related stupidity, televangelist Pat Robertson has suggested last Thursday that Sharon's stroke was divine punishment for "dividing God's land."

Now that’s mega something.

Forward shmorward

I got this email from an old (and I mean literally old) friend. Thanks Aldy for sharing another crappy email. LOL

As another year will shortly be a memory, my heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of you who have taken the time and trouble to send me "forwards" over the past 12 months. Thank you for making me feel safe, secure, blessed, and wealthy.

Extra thanks for the ones that I have to open 15 times to get to the message.

Special thanks to whoever sent me the one about rat crap in the glue on envelopes 'cause I now have to go get a wet towel every time I need to seal an envelope.

Also, I scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason. Because of your concern, I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer drink Pepsi, or Dr Pepper, since the people who make these products are atheists who won't put "Under God" on their cans.

I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.

I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.

I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone might drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer receive packages from, nor send packages by UPS, or FedEx, since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.

I no longer answer the phone, because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.

I no longer eat KFC, because their "chickens" are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer have any sneakers -- but that will change once I receive my free replacement pair from Nike.

I no longer have to buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus, since I now have their recipe.

I no longer worry about my soul, because at last count I have 363,214 angels looking out for me.

Thanks to you, I have learned that God only answers my prayers if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

I no longer have any savings, because I gave it to a sick girl who is about to die in the hospital (for the 1,387,258th time)

I no longer have any money at all - but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special email program.

Yes, I want to thank you so much for looking out for me that I will now return the favor!

If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 7 minutes, a large pigeon with a wicked case of diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 PM (EDT) this afternoon. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of mine's next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beautician.

On a side note, I found the website Break The Chain which aims to stop all the misinformation from all the junk emails we receive everyday. Almost all of us rely on email for our daily corrsepondences, so why not make our e-lives more useful? Visit the site to submit email chains that you want to stop from ever spreading.

I was tweaking my blog template yesterday and I managed to screw the page. I don’t know what happened, but
Internet Explorer did not properly render the changes I’ve made, while Firefox rendered it ok.

Remind me to never use IE again.

However, since most of you use IE as your primary browser, I had no choice but try to fix my blog. After not making any progress, I decided to just use another template. Now all my customizations got whacked. I’m starting all over again. Sigh.

But anyway, welcome to the new look of my blog. Hopefully I can find someone to make this thing look better.

Click the blue box on the right side of this page if you want to get Firefox to replace that crappy IE browser.

A Gem...

Jang Geum beside her "contravida", Lady Choi

Yes I admit, I 'm addicted to Jewel in the Palace. I even downloaded Faith Cuneta's version of "Pangarap na Bituin" to complete the experience.

Sneaky, sneaky...

Ano ba talaga FVR?

Interesting news today: Messrs. Ramos, Drilon and Sotto met clandestinely, drank wine, plotted... I mean talked some more, and then refused to divulge to the doubting public the topic of said meeting. What a way to start the year of the dog.

You know that there’s something fishy going on when these clowns are involved: Franklin Drilon - turn-coat & political butterfly, Vicente Sotto III - corny comic & rabid Estrada follower and Fidel Valdez Ramos - GMA saviour (?).

I’m really confused with FVR. There’s something about that face and his actions that tell you: “I want to be President in perpetuity.”

Mrs. Arroyo should be afraid, very afraid. With a friend like FVR she doesn’t need enemies.

Please Mr. Ramos, do your country a big favor, you served the country well during your time, just retire and be done with it!

Nah. I’m bad at keeping lists. Hehehehehehehe

Is it pointless, and (ad)senseless?

I’ve checked on my Google Adsense account today and I am pleasantly surprised that I have a total accumulated income of about $0.93. Since November. Great don’t you think?

Of course I’m being sarcastic. If my Adsense earnings are of any indication of my blog’s unpopularity and malnourished readership, then this is all pointless. Aren’t we supposed to get something from this endeavor? Don’t give me that crap about personal satisfaction. I have sex to handle that. I need money! I want to reach Bryanboy stature! LOL.

Oh yes I’m pathetic. So sue me. :-)

Side note:

Was browsing thru Yugatech and it seems that there are just a few of them who actually reached the $100 earnings mark via Adsense. Signing up is easy, earning is another thing.

Sigh. I want my blog to be like EDSA with its traffic.

Corny. No wonder I have less than a dollar in adsense earnings. :-)
